[SMM Weekly Review] 6.27-7.93, Weekly Price Trend Analysis of ESS DC-side Battery Cabin

This week, the price of DC-side battery cabins slightly decreased. The average price for a 5MWh DC-side battery cabin was 0.428 yuan/Wh, while the average price for 3.44/3.77MWh DC-side battery cabins was 0.437 yuan/Wh. Stimulated by subsidy policies introduced in some provinces and cities, energy storage integrators have seen an increase in shipments of energy storage systems in those regions. However, property owners are still hesitant due to the incomplete implementation of detailed power mechanisms in various provinces. Integrators have slightly reduced product prices to compete for existing orders in the market. SMM predicts that the price of DC-side battery cabins may continue to decline slightly in the short term.

On June 30th, the bid winner for the energy storage system equipment procurement of the 2 million kW "Power Transmission from Alxa to Urumqi" Regional Mutual Aid New Energy Project was announced. The project is planned to be constructed in the Alxa League High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total capacity of 300MW/600MWh. The bid winner offered a price of 276 million yuan, which translates to a winning bid unit price of 0.46 yuan/Wh after conversion.
